Doreach reads each reply and gives it a tag, such as Interested or Not now. The tag appears on the thread in Inbox with a one-line reason. You can filter the Inbox by tag and change any tag yourself.
The tags
| Tag | Use it when the person |
|---|---|
| Interested | Wants to hear more |
| Wants a meeting | Asks for a call or suggests a time |
| Has a question | Asks something before deciding |
| Not now | Says the timing is wrong |
| Not interested | Says no |
| Unsubscribe | Asks you to stop contacting them |
| Out of office | Sends an automatic away message |
| Wrong person | Says you have reached the wrong person |
| Other | Writes something that fits none of the above |
A thread shows Reading reply… for a moment after a reply arrives. It shows Not tagged when Doreach could not tag the reply.
What a tag does
The tag sets the reply’s quality. Interested and Wants a meeting count as positive replies. Not interested and Unsubscribe count as negative. Every other tag counts as neutral.
When Let AI act on replies is on, the tag also moves the contact:
| Tag | Stage |
|---|---|
| Interested, Wants a meeting | Qualified |
| Not interested, Unsubscribe | Disqualified, and the person is blocked from all outreach on every channel |
| Any other tag | Replied |
Doreach never moves a contact off Booked. It moves a contact off Disqualified only when you change a Not interested or Unsubscribe tag, as described under Change a tag. It never lowers Qualified to Replied. A tag can still change other stages you set by hand, such as Nurturing. With the switch off, or when a reply is not tagged, the contact stays at Replied.
The two switches
An Owner or Admin sets both under Settings → Team → AI replies.
- AI reply tags turns tagging on or off. With it off, replies are not read and show Not tagged.
- Let AI act on replies decides whether a tag moves the contact’s stage and blocks people who say no. It is on by default. It works only while AI reply tags is on. Tags still appear when it is off.
On chat channels, a reply that is a plain stop word such as STOP blocks the person without a tag. Automatic replies on email do not get a tag either.
Change a tag
- Open Inbox and select the thread.
- Select the tag in the thread header.
- Choose the correct tag from Change tag.
Your tag replaces the one Doreach set. If Let AI act on replies is on, the new tag can move the stage.
If a reply was tagged Not interested or Unsubscribe and you change it to any other tag, Doreach undoes only the block that tag caused. The person can be contacted again and their stage moves to match the new tag: Qualified for Interested and Wants a meeting, Replied for the rest. Their other campaigns go back to where they were before the block. This needs Let AI act on replies to be on.
A block that did not come from the tag stays. That covers an unsubscribe link, a bounce, a block you set by hand, and a block from another campaign’s reply. To lift one of those, open Contacts, go to the Blocked view, open the contact’s ⋯ menu, and choose Unblock.
Reply emails
When a contact replies, Doreach emails a teammate so the reply does not wait. The email shows the contact’s name and tag, the start of the reply, the reason for the tag, the campaign, and the channel. Open in inbox takes you to the thread.
The email goes to the contact’s owner. If the contact has no owner, it goes to the people chosen in When nobody is assigned, email:
- Admins and Owner
- Owner only
- Admins only
- A specific teammate
Doreach does not email for Not interested, Unsubscribe, or Out of office replies. Doreach sends at most one email per conversation every 10 minutes. Replies in between are listed in the next email.
To stop these emails, turn off Reply emails in the same settings card.
Tagging uses a monthly allowance for each team. The settings card shows how much the team has used this month. When the allowance runs out, new replies show Not tagged until the next month, and you can still tag them by hand.
Working the unified inbox covers the rest of the Inbox. Lead stages and pipeline lists the stages.
