Connect your first LinkedIn account

How to connect a LinkedIn account to Doreach, the weekly limits it starts on, and what to check before you launch anything.

Connecting an account takes about two minutes. Setting its limits sensibly is the part that matters most.

Before you start

Use an account that looks like a real, working professional profile, because that is what determines how your outreach is received:

  • A profile photo and a filled-in headline
  • At least 50 existing connections
  • Some posting or commenting history, even if light
  • No active restriction on the account

A brand-new profile with no photo and 3 connections will get poor acceptance rates and attract restrictions no matter what tool sends the messages.

Connect the account

  1. Open Accounts in the dashboard and choose Connect account.
  2. Pick LinkedIn as the channel.
  3. Sign in through the LinkedIn authentication screen and complete any verification LinkedIn asks for, including two-factor if you have it enabled.
  4. Set the account’s timezone to where the profile owner actually is. Outreach is scheduled against this, so getting it wrong makes activity land at implausible local hours.
  5. Set working hours on the campaigns that will use it. If working hours are left unset, a campaign is allowed to act at any time of day.

Set the limits before you launch

A new account starts on Doreach’s default weekly limits: 80 connection requests, 100 messages, 150 profile views and 25 InMails.

Doreach does not ramp these for you. There is no automatic warm-up, so if this profile has never been automated, lower them yourself under Accounts → [account] → Limits for the first two to three weeks. Around a quarter of the defaults is a sensible start. Then raise them in steps of roughly 20% with a week’s hold between each.

Going straight to full defaults on a profile with no automation history is the most common cause of an early restriction.

Check the account is healthy

The account card shows a status:

StatusWhat it means
ActiveConnected and running within its configured limits
Needs attentionLinkedIn asked for a re-authentication or verification
PausedStopped by you, or automatically after a detected problem
DisconnectedCredentials no longer valid, no activity will run

If an account sits at Needs attention, open LinkedIn directly in a browser, complete whatever it is asking for, then reconnect in Doreach.

Common questions

How many LinkedIn accounts can I connect to Doreach?
As many as you like. Doreach bills per connected account at $45 per account per month, so the only limit is what you choose to pay for. During a free trial you can connect one account.
Do my teammates need their own LinkedIn accounts connected?
No. Team members are free and unlimited, and any team member you give access to can work from a connected account. One connected account can be operated by your whole team, though it still runs within that single profile's weekly limits.
