Doreach supports merge tags for saved prospect data and spintax for alternate wording. Open View merge tags or View spintax examples below a message field in the campaign builder.
Use one of the eight merge tags
Merge tags use lowercase words with underscores. Doreach supports these eight tags:

Doreach does not support a company tag or a job title tag. Use only the tags in the table.
Mention their latest post
In the tag picker this tag is called Latest post summary. Doreach reads the person’s latest LinkedIn post from the last 30 days when the message is sent. It writes a short phrase that starts with “your post”, so the tag fits straight into a sentence:
Hi {{first_name|there}}, I enjoyed {{summary_latest_post|your work}}.With a recent post, that reads “I enjoyed your post on opening a second office in Dubai.” Without one, it reads “I enjoyed your work.”
Doreach uses your fallback when any of these is true:
- The person has no post from the last 30 days.
- The post is about a sensitive subject, such as a layoff, an illness or politics.
- The AI cannot write the phrase.
Always add a fallback. The campaign checklist warns you if you leave it out.

Add a fallback for missing data
Put a pipe and fallback text after the tag name:

{{location|your area}}Doreach uses the saved value when it exists. If the value is missing, it uses the fallback. A tag without either value renders as an empty string, which can leave a broken greeting or sentence.
Add alternate wording with spintax
Put two or more options inside one pair of braces and separate them with pipes:

{Open to a quick exchange|Worth a short chat} {this week|next week}?Doreach chooses one option from each spintax group when it renders the message. You can combine spintax with merge tags and place more than one group in a message.
Meet the launch requirement
Every message body and any connection note must contain at least one supported prospect merge tag or a spintax group with different options. {{day_today}} does not meet this requirement by itself because every prospect sent on the same day receives the same value.
Doreach blocks launch when it finds any of these problems:
- An unsupported or malformed merge tag
- A merge tag without closing
}} - Spintax without a closing brace
- An empty spintax option, such as
{Hi||Hello} - A message with no prospect merge tag and no valid variation
Fix every listed message before trying to launch again.
Keep connection notes within the limit
LinkedIn allows up to 200 characters in a personalized connection invitation. Doreach requires the note in the editor to stay at or below 180 characters. The smaller draft limit leaves space for merge-tag values that grow when Doreach renders the note.
Doreach also checks the rendered note before sending. If the final text exceeds 200 characters, Doreach marks that prospect’s connection request as failed and explains that the note is too long.
