Audience sources

Six ways to build a list, including the warm ones nobody else pulls from.

Cold search results are the worst-performing audience in outreach and the one almost everybody uses, because it is the only source most tools support. The people who already engaged with a post on your topic, or turned up to an event about it, are a far better list and are usually left untouched.

How it works

  1. 01

    Choose a source

LinkedIn search, a saved audience, post engagers, event attendees, group members, or a CSV import.

  2. 02

    Narrow it

Filter down until you can say in one sentence why this group would want to hear from you.

  3. 03

    Save it for reuse

Audiences are stored with the filters that produced them, so a play that works can be run again without rebuilding the list.

What makes it different

Post engagers

Everyone who reacted to or commented on a specific post. You get a shared context to open with, which is what actually earns acceptances. A competitor's popular post is a particularly good source.

Event attendees and group members

People who registered for a LinkedIn event or joined a group have demonstrated interest in a topic and share a legitimate reason to connect.

Your own list

CSV import needs one column: the LinkedIn profile URL. Everything else is optional. Prospects are deduplicated against your workspace, so overlapping lists never contact anyone twice.

The audience is the campaign. A tight list of two hundred people who share a real characteristic beats a loose list of two thousand on reply rate, and it beats it on account safety too, because ignored connection requests are the clearest signal LinkedIn uses to spot automation.

Which is the practical argument for the warmer sources. Someone who commented on a post about outbound hiring last week has a reason to accept a message about outbound hiring. Someone who merely holds the title does not.

Who it's for

  • Agencies who need a defensible reason behind every list they build for a client
  • Marketers running topic-led outreach off their own or a competitor's content
  • Anyone whose cold-search acceptance rate has stopped working

Common questions

What audience sources does Doreach support?
Six: LinkedIn search, saved audiences, post engagers, event attendees, group members and CSV import. Any sequence can run on any source.
Which LinkedIn audience source gets the best acceptance rate?
Post engagers and event attendees usually perform best, because there is a visible shared context to reference. Cold search results perform worst unless the filters are genuinely tight.
Does Doreach stop me contacting the same person twice?
Yes. Prospects are deduplicated by LinkedIn profile URL across your workspace, so importing an overlapping list will not enrol anyone into a second campaign.
