Gmail read sync and the Doreach label

How replies you open in Doreach are marked read in Gmail, and how to find and filter your outreach with the Doreach label in Gmail.

When you connect a Gmail mailbox to Doreach with Google sign-in, Doreach keeps your Gmail in step with the Doreach inbox in two ways:

  • Read sync. When you open a reply in the Doreach inbox, the reply is marked read in Gmail too.
  • The Doreach label. Every new campaign conversation sent from that mailbox gets a label called Doreach in Gmail.

You do not need to turn either one on. Under each connected Gmail mailbox, Outreach Accounts shows the line “Replies you open in Doreach are marked read in Gmail. Campaign emails get a Doreach label.”

What it needs

Both features work for Gmail and Google Workspace mailboxes connected with Google sign-in. In Outreach Accounts, that is a mailbox you added with Connect mailbox and then Google Workspace or Gmail.

Other mailboxes keep working with Doreach as before, without these two features.

When Google asks you to approve access during sign-in, leave every permission ticked. If you untick one, read sync or the label may not work for that mailbox. To fix it, reconnect the mailbox and approve every permission.

A mailbox that needs reconnecting does not sync. Read sync and the label start again once you reconnect it.

Read sync: a reply opened in Doreach is read in Gmail

Open a reply in the Doreach inbox. A few seconds later, the same reply shows as read in Gmail. If the prospect sent several replies before you opened the conversation, all of them are marked read.

Read status goes one way, from Doreach to Gmail. If you read a reply in Gmail first, it still shows as new in the Doreach inbox until you open it there.

Replies that arrived before 21 Oct 2026 are not marked read in Gmail.

The Doreach label: all your outreach in one place

Doreach adds the Doreach label when a campaign email starts a new conversation. That is the first email to a prospect, and any later email step that is not sent as a reply to the previous email.

The label covers the whole conversation. Your follow-ups and the prospect’s replies in that conversation sit under it too.

Conversations started before 21 Oct 2026 do not have the label.

Find your outreach in Gmail

  1. Open Gmail on the web.
  2. In the left sidebar, select Doreach. If you do not see it, select More to show all labels.
  3. Gmail lists every labelled campaign conversation, newest first.

Filter your outreach in or out

Use Gmail search:

Search forWhat you see
label:doreachOnly your campaign conversations
-label:doreachEverything except your campaign conversations

You can also make a Gmail filter with these searches, or add the label to a search you already use. Gmail’s own help explains how to create rules to filter your emails.

If you delete the label

You can delete the Doreach label in Gmail at any time. Deleting a label in Gmail removes the label only. Your emails stay in Gmail.

The next new campaign conversation from that mailbox creates the label again. Conversations from before you deleted it do not get the label back.

If the label is missing from a conversation

Doreach always sends the email first and adds the label after. If the label cannot be added, the email has still gone, and that conversation stays without the label.

A conversation can also have no label because it started before 21 Oct 2026, or because it was sent from a mailbox that is not connected with Google sign-in.
