A one-off disconnection is routine. One every few days means something is triggering LinkedIn's security checks repeatedly.

## Causes, in order of likelihood

**1. Inconsistent access locations.** The account is being used from places that do not fit together: you in one country, the profile owner in another, plus automation from somewhere else again. LinkedIn treats this as a possible compromise and issues a checkpoint.

Fix: keep each account's access pattern consistent. See [running multiple accounts](/help/accounts-and-safety/running-multiple-accounts/).

**2. A second tool on the same profile.** Another automation tool, or a browser extension still installed and active, acting on the same account.

Fix: remove other tools and extensions from that profile entirely. Two tools on one account is also how daily limits get exceeded without either tool knowing.

**3. Frequent password changes.** Every change invalidates the session.

Fix: settle on a password and, if several people need the account, use a shared password manager rather than rotating it.

**4. Two-factor prompts not completed.** If 2FA challenges regularly and nobody completes them, the connection keeps dropping.

Fix: have the profile owner complete the challenge once from their usual device.

**5. The account is being restricted.** Repeated disconnection alongside verification prompts can be an early restriction signal rather than a connection issue.

Fix: check [account health](/help/accounts-and-safety/account-health-and-statuses/) and treat it as a risk signal, reducing volume rather than just reconnecting again.

## Diagnosing

Look at the account's activity log for the disconnection timestamps. If they cluster right after a login from an unusual place, cause 1. If they follow campaign bursts, look at cause 5.

If it keeps happening after all of this, [send us the account name and rough timestamps](/contact/) and we will check the connection logs.

## Common questions

### Why does my LinkedIn account keep disconnecting from Doreach?

The usual causes are logging in from very different locations in a short period, another automation tool running on the same profile, frequent password changes, or LinkedIn repeatedly issuing security checkpoints because the account's behaviour looks inconsistent.
